Develop future lean experts and trainers

We offer a three-phase training program

When you have your own optimization experts in-house, you have the best possible prerequisites for maximizing your optimization potential on a sustainable basis. Especially if the experts were trained by Staufen. Effective, highly competent, and respectfully collaborative.

Staufen Academy has successfully trained 2,000 lean experts and trainers.

This lets them communicate their expertise in-house and supports your continuous improvement processes with workshops and projects on site.

We offer a three-phase training program for the lean experts and lean trainers of tomorrow.

3-stage training and certification for lean experts and lean trainers

BASIC TRAINING

The focus is on teaching the central principles of Lean In addition, participants actively work on improving their communication and moderation competences and the ability to plan and conduct workshops successfully.

Participants learn and deepen their knowledge of the most important Lean methods and tools applicable to themselves and their specific area of work. Because of the strong practical focus, not only the acquisition of theoretical knowledge is ensured, but also the ability of its application. (Lean basics needed!)

The written exams take place immediately following the respective courses of steps 2 and 3.

SPECIFICALLY FOR LARGE-SCALE PRODUCERS

SPECIFICALLY FOR SMALL-SCALE/ BATCH PRODUCERS

SPECIFICALLY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

INDEPENDENT OF INDUSTRY AND TYPE OF PRODUCTION

PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION WITHIN OWN COMPANY

At the latest after completion of Step 2, Lean Experts should implement what they learned and practised within inhouse workshops and projects. This practical application is fundamental for the transformation of your company, but not an official part of the training Program. If required, experienced Staufen experts are happy to support you during the design and conduct of workshops, particularly in the role of coach and “co-trainer” for your experts.

ADVANCED TRAINING TO BECOME A LEAN TRAINER

Focus is on increasing participants’ teaching and organisational competencies. “How do I teach others to do something” rather than “How do I use it myself” is the motto of this final training phase aimed at future Lean trainers (train-the-trainer concept).

The written exams take place immediately following the respective courses of steps 2 and 3.

Out now: Alumni-Day!

A format by lean experts and trainers for lean experts

Make new contacts, maintain your existing network, exchange knowledge and learn from each other. This can be a significant catalyst in your lean journey.
We create a platform for you to network with other lean experts as well as strengthen contacts you made in your Lean Expert Basic Training.

Use the opportunity to discuss your own questions and specific content in a small group and compare where you personally stand in your role as a lean expert and your organization and how your lean expert colleagues and market competitors are positioned. In particular, the focus is on collegial exchange to obtain starting points and solutions from others and to learn vital knowledge for your own lean journey. Likewise, you are invited to share your experiences, both in terms of challenges and opportunities, as well as acquired knowledge to benefit others. As a result, each Alumni Day is unique and should be included in your annual planning to expand your network.

Voice of the customer

PHILIPP BELZ | FZI PRODUCTION SYSTEM CONSULTANT | DEUTSCHE BAHN FAHRZEUGINSTANDHALTUNG GMBH

Through the seminar “Basic training as a lean expert”, participants learn many different methods, which can be applied directly in varied group work. The combination of group work and short sections of frontal teaching means that there is no boredom and the previously learned methods can be tested directly.
I have never experienced such an entertaining online seminar, in which the trainers and the implementation of the training create such a good feeling of togetherness.

ANJA SCHICK | ASSISTANT VP BUSINESS UNIT AXOR & CORPORATE MARKETING | HANSGROHE SE

I really enjoyed the online seminar “Lean Administration”. Thanks to various models and analysis tools, it provided us with the equipment to practically approach lean projects in our work environment – from preparation to implementation to completion.
I can fully recommend the digital training as it was very professional. Group work was very feasible even remotely (and was actively used) and even if you didn’t “physically” meet, you grew together as a group over the course of the week. The seminar was very entertaining – quite intensive and exhausting at times, but the week flew by. It was also easy to follow from the home office.
The fact that the trainers offered that we could contact them after the training if we had any questions, was also well received.

DR. CHRISTOPH BAYRLE | PROCESS CONSULTANT WIEPROCONSULTING, PROCESS MANAGEMENT | SEW-EURODRIVE GMBH & CO KG

In February 2021, I participated in the online version of STAUFEN.’s Lean Manufacturing seminar. Remote learning works: the topics were taught in such a way that they were directly applicable. I learned a lot about improvement management of production processes and now feel able to analyze a process in my own company and identify potentials.
The trainers showed a motivated and competent demeanor with a good ear for the mood, questions and opinions of the participants. They were experienced and open and always had good examples to illustrate the theory.

LUKAS SCHREINDL | PROJEKTLEITUNG LEAN / KTPS | KNAUS TABBERT AG

The trainers of the seminar “Basic training as a lean expert” were structured, friendly, easy going and very knowledgeable about lean management and psychological and social aspects. I gained a lot of basic knowledge about lean management and insights about my role as a lean expert. I learned how to structure improvement activities in projects and can argue which tasks and responsibilities lie with my project client and the manager of the respective department.

MARCO TOBEHN | LEAN MANAGER | IDEAL WEINSTOCK FENSTERBAU

The seminar “Basic training as a lean expert” really convinced me – I don’t know how you could do it better! Among other things, I learned to apply methods for moderating workshop groups, to plan my own workshops successfully and to prepare, describe and visualize work results.

MAX HANNOT | GESCHÄFTSFÜHRER | SCHIFFER METALL- UND VAKUUMTECHNIK GMBH

I liked the seminar “Basic training as a lean expert” and the two trainers very much. In addition to the basic concepts of lean management, I learned how to convince others about the need to set up a CIP office, as well as about the importance of feedback for one’s own development. I also gained new knowledge about the reasons and forms of resistance as well as the different ways to deal with difficult personalities.

LAURA MARIE BIRLENBACH | PROZESSOPTIMIERUNG (TOPFIT) | EMG AUTOMATION GMBH

What I particularly liked about the Lean Expert training was the balanced transfer of knowledge between the basics of lean management and leadership and social skills.
In addition, the handling of the seminar via Microsoft Teams was planned in detail and carried out excellently. Despite the physical distance of the participants and trainers, we very quickly developed team spirit and a togetherness at eye level.
