About the author

Matthias Bulling is an industrial engineer and qualified Lean Consultant Mercedes-Benz Production System as well as Six Sigma Black Belt. He already generated 10 years of experience as an expert for Lean Management in production, planning and the strategic further development of production systems at Mercedes-Benz Car and at medium-sized mechanical engineering companies. Furthermore, his profound knowledge in the conception and implementation of Lean standards in the planning of new and existing factories (layout, plant & logistics) distinguishes him. He gained further experience as work package leader in the context of "Next Generation Bodyshop" (New Lean Standard Body Manufacturing), as task force leader planning costs Mercedes-Benz Compact Cars and was jointly responsible for the strategic further development Mercedes-Benz Production System. He developed a concept for the reorganization of a production area. His reference projects include the reduction of planning costs in body production. In addition, the implementation of various press shop, body and surface planning projects along the entire value chain to the supplier Mercedes-Benz S-Class, E-Class and Compact Cars.
