Close contact to the customer by founding a third branch abroad After its founding on 1 October, the Staufen AG currently opens up its branch in Wroclaw, Poland. The most important customer is MAN, as the well-established manufacturer for commercial vehicles at the same time has established its third Polish factory close to Krakow. The process consultants of Staufen which have been internationally successful for years as a partner of manufacturing companies on their way to best practice train the new production team of MAN in Poland. A crucial point in this is the introduction of the “MAN commercial vehicle manufacturing system“. A focus is the short-term qualification of executives and assembling staff. Lucjan Kornicki and Szymon Kubik as two experienced counselling professionals take charge of the new branch STAUFEN.POLSKA Sp. z o.o. As native speakers, they have the necessary socio-cultural competence to counsel Polish companies and coach German companies in opening up Eastern European markets. Bevor working with Staufen the consultants already gathered experience in Poland working for companies like Whirlpool, Timken or Promens. MAN which has been present with production and manufacturing factories for twelve years relies on the support of the Staufen AG to further develop its activities in Poland. The modern manufacturing methods of the “MAN commercial vehicle manufacturing system” follows the production system of the global market leader Toyota. They are now put into action in the Polish factories and the permanent staff is trained accordingly. The new production team for the third factory opened up at the beginning of October has a variety of previous knowledge and not much experience in vehicle manufacturing. Their prompt qualification is the main goal for the consultants because in its new location, MAN produces heavy goods vehicles of the heavy line TGA Worldwide and, not least of all, wants to position itself as a pioneer with its own factory in Eastern Europe.   The managing directors of the branch Staufen Polska are responsible for the support of Polish customers. Lucjan Kornicki’s (29) core competences are in the area of process optimization and implementation of value added systems. Additional to a management education he speaks Polish and English. Szymon Kubik, learned engineer and experienced coach and consultant, has specialised knowledge in the area of production and management systems. Amongst others, the 34-year old Kubik was employed at the Enterprise Institute Polska, PROFES Kaizen Institute Polska and the Wroclaw University of Technology before. With an integrated and above all very practice orientated approach – in comparison with other management consultancies – the consultants optimize all procedures, focussing on best practice and business excellence.
